I think that milk alone wouldn't be rich enough to fill the soup with awesome the way that half-and-half does, so I'm not sure.<br /><br />When I made this, we didn't have any half-and-half, so I just used equal parts milk and cream. After all, that's what half-and-half is. Following this idea, one could try the recipe with 2/3 milk and 1/3 cream or 3/4 and 1/4. <br /><br />But, really, there's nothing like the real thing.
